Great short reportage, thanks a million!

Can you tell us a bit more about Bud's visits? What did he do? What did he speak about?
I'm pretty curious... [SM=g27823]

Hi,

Wow, he's in very good conditions. Maybe he has more wrinkles, but his eyes are still young and smiling!
I wish him good health and lots of activities more!

In april at his first visit Bud presents the German translation of his biography. There was a press conference in Berlin and then there were autographing sessions in book stores in Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen. In Bremen he was also guest at a TV-Show called "3nach9". Then the biography went to a bestseller (Top 1 of the German bestsellerlist!) and so the German publisher (Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf) invited Bud again in June. There was a second press conference again in Berlin (The publisher is from Berlin) and Bud signed biography number 100.000, which was sold by auction for charity later. After this press conference there were new autographing sessions in book stores in Berlin, Hamburg and Leipzig. And Bud was guest in two other TV-Shows ("Markus Lanz" in Hamburg and "Riverboat" in Leipzig).

Because of the big success of the biography a cinema in Berlin had the idea to start an "Bud Spencer Festival". At the same time the German publisher released the Audiobook-Version of the biography. So Bud was invited again in august. He presented the audiobook and opened the "Bud Spencer Festival" in the cinema.

The reason for the forth visit is a little bit strange. In summer there was an internet poll about the name of a street tunnel in the small German town Schwäbisch Gmünd (near Stuttgart). And one of the names given by the community was "Bud Spencer Tunnel". And, surprise surprise, this name won the poll. But the administration of Schwäbisch Gmünd was against this name. To still the community and the fans, the administration had the idea to rename the public swimming pool of Schwäbisch Gmünd, because Bud was there at a swim-challenge in the 50s. And so Bud came in dezember to Schwäbisch Gmünd. He signed the Golden Book of the town and was guest at the official rename-ceremony of the swimming pool. And of course he signed books again, this time in book stores in München, Stuttgart, Schwäbisch Gmünd and Pforzheim. And he was guest in a TV-Show again ("Menschen der Woche").

The success of the biography is really impressive. And that must be the reason why they will release a new book (a second part of the biography) in march. So I'm pretty sure that Bud will come back to Germany in 2012 to present the new book. And if I have time I will be there again [SM=g27828]
