Hello everybody at the budterence.tk forum,

greetings! I'm a german film scholar, who's actually preparing a full-length study about Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.
Therefore, I'm still searching for some of the original release dates of several movies:

    1. Io sto con gli ippopotami (??.??.1979)
    2. Poliziotti superpiù (??.??.1980)
    3. Chi trova un tesoro trova un amico (??.11.1981)
    4. Cane e gatto (??.??.1982)
    5. Nati con la camicia (??.10.1983)
    6. Don Camillo (??.2.1984)
    7. Non c'è due senza quattro (??.10.1984)
    8. Miami Supercops (??.??.1985)
    9. Big Man
    10. Lucky Luke
    11. Extralarge
    12. Virtual Weapon
    13. Tre per sempre

Therefore I'd like to ask you for your support: Can anyone help? Maybe you have some italian film encyclopedias available or some old movie magazines? Any support is appreciated! Thank you very much! [SM=g27823]

    Furthermore, I've got two questions:
    1. Did Terence Hill originally appear in the film "Little Rita nel west" as Terence Hill or still as Mario Girotti? In fact, he's credited in all versions of the film I've seen (including the italian ones) as Terence Hill, although the film already started on 11.8.1967 and Hill said he changed his name for "Dio perdona ... io no!" (which started 31.10.1967). In "La feldmarescialla" (which started 22.12.1967) however, it seems he definitely re-appeared one more time as Mario Girotti?
    2. Does anybody know about the cutter who's credited as "Ashley Daleki" in both "Chi trova un amico trova un tesoro" and "Cane e gatto"? I've read that it's either Eugenio Alabiso or Daniele Alabiso. So what's right? And are they brothers?

    Thanks again for your support!

I guess you've already checked on IMDB.
I'm afraid I can't help you with any of your questions (I'm such a lousy fan), but I think that maybe at least some of them is to be found in that italian Bible on motion pictures which is the "Mereghetti (Dizionario dei film)". A friend of mine has a copy, I may check when I get the chance to; some user of this forum may have a copy as well, let's see what they come up with.
    Good luck for your research!

@ Ciambellano: Thank you very much! You really helped a lot! This is the list as you said:

    1. Io sto con gli ippopotami (1.12.1979)
    2. Poliziotti superpiù (2.10.1981)
    3. Chi trova un tesoro trova un amico (10.12.1981)
    4. Cane e gatto (25.2.1983)
    5. Nati con la camicia (??.??.1983)
    6. Don Camillo (4.5.1984)
    7. Non c'è due senza quattro (19.10.1984)
    8. Miami Supercops (19.12.1985)
    9. Big Man (??)
    10. Lucky Luke (4.7.1991)
    11. Extralarge (??)
    12. Virtual Weapon (1970)
    13. Tre per sempre (3.1.2002)

Question: Where did you get these dates from? Are these really the original italian release dates? I'm a bit surprised because some of them are identical and some are later as the german ones (which is - compared with the other Spencer/Hill-Films - quite unusual).

PS: "Virtual Weapon" is "Potenza Virtuale", a film produced in 1997 (directed by Antonio Margerithi), so it hasn't been released in 1970. I've read in the comments of the film page on budterence.tk that it was shown on italian TV for the first time on 11.2.2007 (channel "Italia 1"). But one guy said he has seen a presentation of the film in Milano before? So did it never get a official release date in italian cinemas? The first DVD came out in 2008?
"Big Man" is not "Extralarge" but another six part TV series with Bud as Jack Clementi. It's also known in Italy as "Il professore".
"Lucky Luky": 4.7.1991: is this the date when the pilot of the series was shown on italian TV (which channel? when did the last episode air for the first time?)
"Tre per sempre": I've recently read on the internet that the two part film was shown on 27. and 29.1.2001 on RAI Uno for the first time. So what's right now?

    Thanks for a short reply!

Ciambellano's dates turned out to be the german ones, taken from imdb.
So can really nobody help with the italian dates? I'm sure there's a film encyclopedia which they're in. Thank you very much, again!

Hi Hegen, I'm sorry but I haven't got any encyclopedias and I'm not able to help you regarding films' releases...

I don't remember where I read o heard it but I'm quite sure Mario Girotti was credited as Terence Hill in "Little Rita nel West" because it was released after "Dio Perdona io no!" so producer and director wanted to take advantage of film success. I saw the italian version and I confirm that "Terence Hill" was written in the beginning credits.

About the second question, I only know Eugenio Alabiso and he should be a cutter, you can find an interview in "I due superpiedi quasi piatti" italian DVD.

    Cheers!
